Prairie Centre Credit Union, Saskatchewan’s leading rural-based credit union, currently has a permanent full-time Investment Advisor opportunity available. The successful candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated individual who will provide exceptional service to our members in branches throughout our trading area. Reporting to the Manager Advisory Services, the Investment Advisor will have a strong aptitude for relationship-building and will deliver expert advice to both current and prospective members to assist them in meeting their financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and build value-based relationships with colleagues and members
- Offer wealth management and investment advisory products and services through Credential Qtrade Securities Inc. Deliver quality advice to members, specializing in the area of investments, mutual funds, and brokerage services
- Provide solutions that support the financial wellbeing of members, while ensuring that growth targets are achieved
- Effective implementation of member strategies, management of investment portfolios, and ongoing evaluation of performance
- Business development that supports maintaining and servicing existing members, identifying new opportunities within the current book of business, and developing strategies for growth
Qualifications:
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a full service Investment Advisor
- Certified Financial Planner Designation (CFP) or Personal Financial Planning Designation (PFP)
- Preferred 3 - 5 years work related/industry experience, with a demonstrated ability to gather assets
- Sales-oriented background with a strong understanding of the sales process and business development
- Excellent public relations, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with an aptitude for relationship building
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of tax laws, money markets, and the economy in general
